I am an independent floral artist that enjoys floral design as a hobby and this website is my portfolio; simply meant for visual enjoyment. I can't imagine life without art and flowers, both add so much color, energy, and comfort to daily life. I'm grateful that I get to combine both in what I create.

MY APPROACH

Intuitive Floral Design

Flowers have a mystical power to convey what words cannot and can immediately transform your mood or the energy in a room.

My custom designs are created in the moment and inspired by the energy of you, the customer, the personality of each unique recipient, and the spirit of your event or space. Customers sometimes comment that my designs are thought-provoking, make them feel a certain way, or tell a story that resonates.

I strive to create stunning pieces of beauty and natural art that communicate feelings of celebration, compassion, love, friendship, or hospitality.

About the Artist

I grew up planting and tending to flowers at home with the help of my parents. Flowers were routinely exchanged as gifts in my family; I vividly remember picking out corsages for my grandmas to wear each Mother's Day and Easter Sunday. In fact, I owe a lot of credit to my grandmas for my appreciation of flowers, the arts, and fearless approach to the creative process. They both grew beautiful flowers and were also self-taught artists (painting) with an innate sense of artistic creativity.

Experiencing art first-hand, whether it be music, architecture, painting, or floral design, is a feeling like no other. Travel has always and continues to provide a lot of inspiration for me creatively. Here are a few of my paintings and me vibing in an immersive art exhibit in Helsinki, Finland.

In 2014 I was in desperate need of a creative outlet and began experimenting with silk and fresh flower design. During the pandemic I continued purchasing fresh flowers to help keep local florists and flower farmers afloat and designing for my own mental health too.

Around that time, I began sharing my creations on social media and an Instagram account called Virtual_Florality, a play on the words "virtual reality." At the time the only way to interact and share my art with the outside world was virtually.

Positive reactions and increasing commissions for my floral designs led me to open my own floral design business for a brief time. However, I did not enjoy the pressure, hustle, and uncertainty of owning my own business and closed in late 2025 to reconnect with my passion for floral art.

I now work in a senior community full-time and create custom designs for the front desk each week as well as help residents design their own flower arrangements for the dining tables.

Visiting the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia at age 12 and Keukenhof in Lisse, Netherlands in the early 2000s were formative experiences for me. I remember being so taken with the vibrant colors, drama, and creativity of the displays.
